About us
With over 25 years combined experience in manual and CNC machining, serving industries such as Oil & Gas, Motorsport and Aerospace, we took the decision to pivot and leverage the power of 3D Printing to adapt to the changing world of manufacturing and increase our overall knowledge and expertise.
Recognising how long it can take to bring a product from paper to physical object, we saw the benefit of being able to rapidly prototype and iterate on a design using only the material needed for the part. Not only this, we began to realise that, once a design is perfected, there is no need to stockpile parts hoping they will be used before becoming obsolete, customers can have the parts printed when & where they are needed. This print on demand approach allows for greater supply chain flexibility, reduced production & storage costs and lowers the overall carbon footprint of the product.
A real world example showing what 3D printing and additive technologies are capable of, was seen at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. We were part of a maker movement of more than 8,000 3D printing enthusiasts that came together to print over 385,000 face shields and other items for the NHS and Retail sector with multiple designs being produced, while traditional manufacturing worked hard to develop moulds and tooling to catch up. No other technology could be bought to bear so quickly, especially with continuous design iterations on the way.
